6 nights, 5 days walking holiday
Price: £499 per person (sharing).
The Anglesey and Snowdonia package is based in South Anglesey for the first 3 nights. Our walks include the west coast of the island, incorporating Llanddwyn Beach and Island near Newborough with captivating views towards Snowdonia and the Llyn Peninsula.
Llanddwyn Island is dedicated to Santes (Saint) Dwynwen, the Welsh patron saint of lovers, equivalent to St. Valentine's. It is celebrated on January 25th . The magical Llanddwyn beach with its curved bay and dunes is a grand access to Llanddwyn island with its lighthouse, holy well and Celtic cross.
The second day will take you to the historic town of Beaumaris with its Edwardian Castle (World Heritage Site). Visit the Old Gaol and Courthouse before following the path to Penmon Priory and onto Trwyn Du lighthouse ending at Red Wharf Bay near Llanddona.
For the last 3 nights, the Anglesey and Snowdonia package takes you to the small, friendly village of Beddgelert. Beddgelert is a picturesque hamlet at the base of Mount Snowdon. Undoubtedly it is one of the prettiest villages in Snowdonia, full of history, legend and culture and a great base for walking. Snowdonia is a magnet for walkers with breathtaking scenery and diverse landscapes, from rugged mountains to crystal clear lakes and rivers.
One of the three days in Snowdonia will allow you to walk Wales' highest mountain Yr Wyddfa - Snowdon, standing at 3560 ft /1085m. For customers who prefer not to climb Mount Snowdon will be offered an alternative day sight-seeing at the walled Royal Town of Caernarfon.
The remaining 2 days will be spent exploring the Snowdonia National Park along the newly opened Lon Gwyrfai Trail to Rhyd-ddu (4.5 miles each way - easy walking) and the Fisherman’s Walk (6 miles moderate/strenuous) along the famous Aberglaslyn Pass, Beddgelert.
For solo walkers walking on their own, there will be an added charge of £30 per night. For those walking with others but wanting a single occupancy there will be a single supplement charge £20 per night.
